Mere Orthodoxy have put together what looks to be a very helpful website – The Faith Received – which gathers together creeds, council statements, catechisms, and various books by church leaders from the early church through to the the 1700s.
The searchable Library is available here.
There is also the option here of selecting chapters and verses from the Bible and reading some of the church’s teachers alongside it, and a topical search here.
