Encounters 37 (June 2011) on Energising the Future

The latest issue of Encounters from Redcliffe College is now available, this one devoted to ‘Energising the Future – Challenge and Change’.

According to the editorial, the first four articles ‘are edited transcripts from the talks delivered at the annual Redcliffe/JRI (John Ray Initiative) Environment Conference held at Redcliffe College earlier this year’, devoted to ‘the contemporary energy issues faced today, and the challenge of implementing the required changes in order to safeguard a sustainable future’.

The other three contributions (on contemporary political developments in Bolivia, on eco-feminist and indigenous thought, and on 2 Peter 3:10- 13 and Revelation 21:1-5) challenge ‘many traditional mission attitudes on the Environment’, but all the articles ‘rest firmly within the scope of our engagement with God’s creation’.
