Trevin Wax on Gospel Definitions

I’ve been doing some reading on the ‘gospel’, and stopped compiling a list of various proposed definitions once I saw that Trevin Wax (blogging at Kingdom People) has already done – a few months or so back – a much better job than I would do.

The 29-page pdf is available here.

The presenting issue for me at the moment: what are the things that must go into a definition of the ‘gospel’ for it to be the gospel?

The question which flows from the first: what is the significance of this understanding of the ‘gospel’ for a theology of Scripture, culture, church, and discipleship – and the relationship between these items?

Just a few small issues…
